Vin Diesel Confirms Two More "Fast and Furious" Films

Vin Diesel has revealed to his fans that Universal Pictures is looking into two more 'Furious' films based on last year's fourth film hit "Fast & Furious," which pulled in $343 million worldwide, through his Facebook page.

According to the post: “If 2009's 'Fast and Furious' was chapter one, what writer Chris Morgan just delivered is Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. I have never been submitted a two-story saga from a studio before, it is very exciting, and shows a commitment level that is hard not to respond to.”

“Excited about the sexy locations the filming of this saga would take us... this novel-like story, that has twists and unexpected turns that are authentic, truthful and challenging to the characters.

“P.S. Working through the weekend, will have updates later in the week on our others projects. Truly your voice is being heard in ways one couldn't have imagined.”

It is unclear if this will impact a potential third Riddick film and he and David Twohy have been developing, but either way, sequels mean big business in Hollywood, and the studio is hoping that more speed will bring in more money.

Over the years the “Fast and the Furious” franchise has done very well financially, and to be honest, the first film is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Look for the next “Fast and the Furious” sometime in 2011.
