Eva Green Joins “Dark Shadows”

Eva Green is scorching hot. She proved that while appearing as the double crossing Vesper in the 2006 Bond film "Casino Royale," and the actress surely will prove it again on her next project.
According to Variety Green is in talks to join the cast of Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows" for Warner Bros. Pictures.

The project is based on the cult 60's series, which was a spooky soap-opera that featured gothic horror staples like vampires, ghosts and zombies. Johnny Depp is already attached to play Barnabas Collins, the vampire patriarch of the series, while Green would portray the temptress Angelique.

The role was played by Lara Parker in the original. Bella Heathcote also stars in the film a waitress who resembles Collins' long-lost love.

Seth Grahame-Smith has penned the script while Depp, Graham King, Richard Zanuck, Christi Dembrowski and David Kennedy are producing.
This project is surely noteworthy because of Burton and Depp's involvement, but I think the addition of Green is an excellent choice. She was great in "Casino Royale," bringing depth and emotion to a character that had Bond's heart on a string. She has the right look and acting style that should fit in with Burton's storytelling, and with a script by Grahame-Smith, the project should be well rounded when it comes to the "horror genre."

Grahame-Smith of course is the author of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" which was an awesome retelling of Jane Austen's classic novel, "Pride and Prejudice."

Release it tentatively set for 2012 with shooting hoping to begin later this year.
